In October, you have the exclusive opportunity to experience a unique brewing day at the traditional family brewery Schäffler Bräu in the picturesque Missen in the Allgäu. For over 150 years, Schäffler Bräu has been brewing delicious beers, and occasionally a few unique special beers are also brewed in small quantities (about 150 crates) on the Brewiks 300 microbrewery system.
Brewed is an Altbier, a traditional German beer style that is passionately discussed especially along the Rhine. With a total malt amount of 85 kg per batch, we achieve an original wort of 12% and an alcohol content of 5.2%.
This Altbier presents itself in an elegant copper tone and impresses with its pronounced bitterness.
A total of three batches are being brewed. On October 9, a double batch is on the schedule, followed by a single batch on October 10. All three batches will ferment together in a fermentation tank.
In addition, we offer a brewery tour where you can gain exciting insights into one of the oldest private breweries in the Allgäu region, as well as an entertaining beer tasting with high-quality beers.
The adjacent brewery inn is available for overnight guests, offering comfortable accommodations so you can fully enjoy your visit.
While we take care of the liquid catering, the brewery inn provides for your physical well-being with hearty Allgäu specialties.
