General Safety Instructions
The Brewiks is made almost entirely of stainless steel (electrically conductive). For this reason, it must only be operated via a residual-current device with a 0.1 A tripping current. Usually, an RCD is already present in the house wiring. Please check this before starting!
The appliance and the power cord must be regularly inspected for signs of damage. If any damage is found, the appliance must not be used.
Always unplug the appliance from the socket (pull on the plug, not the cord) when not in use, for cleaning, or in case of a malfunction. Place the power cord in a way that it does not come into contact with sharp objects. The cord must be fully uncoiled.
If using an extension cord, it should have the same current capacity. It must also be fully uncoiled. Do not use a power strip, as our appliance is too powerful. Avoid overloading the electrical fuse. Due to the high power requirement of Brewiks, do not turn on other large power-consuming devices on the same circuit. Fire hazard!
The Brewiks may only be used for its intended purpose and in flawless condition with its safety devices. Before each use, make sure it is in good working condition.
For child safety, do not leave any packaging materials (cardboard, styrofoam, etc.) within reach. Do not let young children play with plastic wrap. Choking hazard!
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with restricted physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or receive instructions on how to use the device from that person.
Children should be supervised to ensure they stay away from the device and do not play with it.
